Mike Piccirilli: Keyboard, Acoustic Guitar & Vocals
At the age of five, Mike Piccirilli was fascinated by the sounds of an old, out-of-tune upright in the basement of his childhood home. He spent hours tinkering with this broken old instrument. This was the start of his lifelong ambition to play the piano. Mike’s first band The Sussex, inspired by groups like The Beatles, The Buckinghams, The Rolling Stones, The Animals and more; played teen centers and CYO’s in and around Baltimore.
In the late eighties, Mike and lead guitarist, Steve Brown formed the group, Tremor. Playing the Starleigh Agency club circuit for several years, Tremor developed an impressive local following.
In early 2000, Mike headed to Ocean City, MD to join Landers, Heinz & Pic. Their talented combination of fiddle, guitars and keyboard was well received by everyone who came to enjoy their music. Landers, Heinz & Pic often performed for the Helping Hands telethon in Hazelton, PA alongside Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, Danny & The Juniors and many other celebrity entertainers to raise funds for handicapped children.
Now as a member of Chubby HooHoo, Mike’s keyboards, acoustic guitar and vocals are a strong addition to the band’s repertoire.
